Now, since we can’t hear him any more due to the cancellation of Knight Rider only after its very first season, many of his fans and those who have loved his voice as KIIT’s voice, have a reason to rejoice. The actor has reportedly joined the cast of the movie based on MacGruber. Now, if some of you are not aware about MacGruber, then let me tell you that he is a character played by Will Forte in the variety show Saturday Night Live.

A few months ago, Lorne Michael, the creative genius behind the variety show, had revealed about plans of a movie based on MacGruber. It seems that the plans are already being put into action as the casting for the movie is already underway. And now it has been reported that the actor who impressed the audience with his voice as KIIT on the Knight Rider TV show, is to portray the role of the main villain Cunth, in the movie.

Now after doing the voice acting for a car that uses its special powers to fight crime in Knight Rider, it will be interesting to see Kilmer don the role of an evil person. But given the immense talent of Kilmer, we know that it is going to be an easy transformation for him. After all it is his versatility at playing varying characters with equal ease that has helped him succeed in this immensely competitive industry.

Hello everybody! This time I have a very hot topic for you all, it’s KITT. Well, I think all the viewers of “Knight Rider” must be aware of it. But if you still don’t know then read on.

KITT is abbreviated form of Knight Industries Two Thousand or Knight Industries Three Thousand. KITT is actually a sophisticated character of the show “Knight Rider” which is equipped with an artificially intelligent computer.

2008 Ford Shelby GT500KR Mustang is the latest version of KITT. It has a variety of features, like the newly designed attack mode, transformation capabilities and many more which make this machine different from any other machine.

The KITT used in the 2008 TV series of Knight Rider is much more superior to the one used in the previous versions of the series. The current version of KITT is capable of changing color, morphing into various car forms momentarily and much more and it’s all possible because of nano-technology.

In the same version, a new mode, Attack Mode, has also been introduced through which this machine is able to increase its speed and is also capable of using its gadgets at the extreme points. The two seater car has the potential to function even underwater. It can maintain its system integrity and life support even when it is submerged in water. It was all done to make it more acute and powerful.

This KITT is also equipped with deadly gadgets like grappling hook and rocket launcher. Since the beginning of Knight Rider and till date, KITT has been through various modifications and now it is quite different from its original version.

It is sad that the latest version of Knight Rider was cancelled just after the first season. This was what disappointed the fans the most. But all we can do is to hope that the show comes back as has been the case with many other shows that were first cancelled and then revived.

“Knight Rider“ is not anything new, it was there in the early eighties, we have had movies on it and last year in 2008, it came back to television. But after its very  season 1, NBC cancelled the series due to its low ratings. A very sad news for the fans, I am sure they all must be disheartened with NBC’s this decision.

When it was announced that Knight Rider was not coming back, all the work at the Podcast was halted.

Everyone connected to the on-line Podcast were keen to get a second season for the series. They all were busy preparing for the Knight Rider Festival and launching the campaign for a  season 2. Disappointing them, NBC announced that they are canceling the show and that put the matter to rest forever.

But for the time being there is no need for the fans to lose heart, as the on-line Podcast has something that will be very interesting for the fans. They have some special edition episodes available for the fans. So, all those people who are interested in watching Knight Rider can entertain themselves with those unedited episodes of the Knight Rider at the “Knight Rider on-line Podcast”.

Hey friends! I know you must have come across the above lines more than a few times in the past few months. But this is actually a question most of the fans of the action series Knight Rider have been pondering. Thousands of words have been written about how the revived version of the show has not been able to stand up to the expectations. Various changes have been made to the show to suit the tastes of the audiences. And now the show has been even reduced to only seventeen episodes, which has left many of its fans heartbroken. The other day I was just wondering about the future of this sci-fi series. Is it going to face the axe just after season 1 or is it going to get another chance? I just don’t know where the series is headed to right now.

But one thing that I feel deeply is that somehow we have been just prejudiced about the show from the very beginning. If you are wondering how, just go through the following lines.

Like everybody else, I also agree that the original version of Knight Rider was a classical trendsetter. It reached an acme that was set as standards for all its later versions to follow. But we forgot one thing that a classic is made only once. When the news about the latest version of Knight Rider came, we made up our mind that it could not achieve the level of success of its parent version. And that is why we did not accept the new version even though it was based on the issues of current times prominently the issue of terrorism.

We always thought of the Knight Rider as a hero who fought day to day crime, but that was true in an era when the world was not struggling with the menace of terrorism. If we are not ready to see an old series which changes its concept according to the needs and issues of the modern times then I think shows like Knight Rider will always fail to make a mark!

Hey people! So the new Knight Rider TV Show is here to entertain us all. But everything does not seem to be right with this sequel to the original adventure cum action drama. Whereas the original series was an instant hit the new series has barely been able to stand on its feet. Perhaps that is why the series has been cut short by four full episodes and at least three characters are also being removed from the series. So I just thought to take a look at the reasons behind the series inability to get the success that the original series enjoyed.

Well, personally I feel that the popularity of the original series rested on many reasons. First, the concept of a former police detective fighting crime with the help of hi-tech car that could even talk was very innovative at that point of time. It was an era when things like auto navigation, artificial intelligence, talking machines etc. were not things that common people talked about. Secondly, the idea of giving a new face to an almost dead human being was also not very old. Thirdly, the series covered crimes that could be faced by any common man which appealed to the audiences in a more personal manner.

As for the sequel, the series has premiered in an era when science fiction has acquired an entirely new meaning with series where the adventures are related to an extra territorial world. So the concept of a crime fighting car with an ex-cop at its helm seems a bit obsolete. Also the series, rather than focusing on neighborhood crime, has covered the broader concept of terrorism which even though has affected most of the people does not have a personal appeal. Thirdly, the series also suffered due to a collection of characters which seemed totally unnecessary. And finally I feel that the show has suffered most due to its becoming an advertiser for various political agendas. I mean come on who would like the idea of being fed with political thoughts instead of being entertained!
