David Hasselhoff is an American actor and singer who was born to Dolores, a homemaker, and Joe Hasselhoff, a business executive. He was the second of the five siblings having an elder sister named Diane and three younger sisters named Joyce, Jean and Lisa. His father’s work caused his family to move very often. As such David’s initial schooling has been done at Christ the King Elementary School in Florida, followed by St. Jude the Apostle and Marist High School in Georgia, and finally Lyons Township High School in Illinois from where he completed his high school education. He later went for his higher studies to Bates College in Maine followed by Oakland University in Rochester. The acting bug struck David at the age of seven, when he started taking lessons in acting, singing and dancing. In the early 2000’s David faced problems related to alcoholism and later joined the Betty Ford Clinic to get rid of his problems. David is an outdoor sports enthusiast who loves scuba diving, hiking, white water rafting, tennis, and jogging. He married actress Catherine Hickland in March 1984 and divorced her five years later in March 1989. Later in same year, i.e. in December 1989, he married actress Pamela Bach. The couple has two daughters named Taylor Ann Hasselhoff and Hayley Amber Hasselhoff. The couple divorced in July 2006 after being together for nearly sixteen years.
David has secured a place in the Guinness Book of World Records for being the Most Watched TV Star in the World. He has acted in about 28 television shows and 13 movies.
