KITT is abbreviated form of Knight Industries Two Thousand or Knight Industries Three Thousand. KITT is actually a sophisticated character of the show “Knight Rider” which is equipped with an artificially intelligent computer.

2008 Ford Shelby GT500KR Mustang is the latest version of KITT. It has a variety of features, like the newly designed attack mode, transformation capabilities and many more which make this machine different from any other machine.

The KITT used in the 2008 TV series of Knight Rider is much more superior to the one used in the previous versions of the series. The current version of KITT is capable of changing color, morphing into various car forms momentarily and much more and it’s all possible because of nano-technology.

In the same version, a new mode, Attack Mode, has also been introduced through which this machine is able to increase its speed and is also capable of using its gadgets at the extreme points. The two seater car has the potential to function even underwater. It can maintain its system integrity and life support even when it is submerged in water. It was all done to make it more acute and powerful.

This KITT is also equipped with deadly gadgets like grappling hook and rocket launcher. Since the beginning of Knight Rider and till date, KITT has been through various modifications and now it is quite different from its original version.

It is sad that the latest version of Knight Rider was cancelled just after the first season. This was what disappointed the fans the most. But all we can do is to hope that the show comes back as has been the case with many other shows that were first cancelled and then revived.
