Knight Rider, 2008 television series is a series that follows the story of 1982 Knight Rider, which is again followed by the 2008 television movie, under the same name. The series Knight Rider, 2008 premiered on September 24, 2008. The series is created by Glen A. Larson. Knight Rider takes place after twenty five years of time span, from the original Knight Rider series. The series revolves around Mike Traceur, who has now become the driver of the next generation KITT (Knight Industries Three Thousand). He has teamed up with his ex girlfriend, Sarah Graiman and his father. Sarah Graiman is the daughter of scientist Charles Graiman, and he is the one who has designed both the KITT’s. Mike is still interested in Sarah and later joins the father-daughter team for good.
The series opens with Sarah Graiman, looking for Mike Traceur, after her father is kidnapped. Mike, who is an ex-Army Special Forces soldier, gets together with Sarah and both of them start looking for her father. They finally become successful in locating and saving him. It’s at this point of time that Mike comes to know that his father is Michael Knight, who was the operator of another super car, that was designed by Dr. Graiman almost 25-years back. He then changes his name from Mike Traceur to Mike Knight
The series moves further with Mike deciding to stay with Sarah and Dr. Charles Graiman and join their team in fighting crime with the help of KITT. KITT is an artificially intelligent, Ford Shelby GT500KR and proves a worthy partner in the fight against crime in the series. After Mike joins the Graimans, he becomes quite famous, as the new champion of the Knight Industries. He finds success, the one thing that he has been looking for ever, after joining the team.
Besides these three the crime fighting team consists of Carrie Rivai and Alex Torres, who work as FBI consultants and Billy Morgan and Zoe Chae who help the team by providing technical support.
In the series, Justin Bruening plays the role of Mike Traceur; Deanna Russo plays the role of Sarah Graiman. Paul Campbell plays the role of Billy Morgan and Bruce Davison plays the role of Charles Graiman. In the series, the voice for KITT (Knight Industries Three Thousand) is given by Val Kilmer.
